ABOUT COMMERCIAL DOORS INC.
CDI employs industry sales professionals and service technicians who have extensive Door Frame and Hardware knowledge and experience. Peter T. Schiavi serves as president and CEO. His role in the organization encompasses sales and the general management of the business. He began his career as a DFH specialist in 2001 and previously worked in general construction.
April 2005
The company was founded by Peter T. Schiavi and has become a highly successful DFH competitor in the Kansas City market.
December 2008
In a move to expand its door prep and warehousing capabilities, and position the company for future growth, CDI purchased a 7,000 square-foot building in December 2008 and moved from a leased space at Cambridge Circle, near downtown Kansas City, to Swope Industrial Park in south Kansas City. The new facility provides ample space for a growing business and a central base of operations with easy highway access to all areas of the Kansas City metro.
May 2011
Peter Schiavi joins the Board of the Kansas City Industrial Council.
June 2018
In a move to expand its market share, CDI has opened a branch in Joplin, MO to greater serve the needs of customers in the SW MO, AR, KS and OK areas.
SINCE INCEPTION
CDI has experienced year-over-year growth in the nonresidential construction industry. With the continued success, future vision plans are to increase products to meet the ever changing demands for security, safety and ease of installation by adapting training programs, increasing hardware consultants as needed and expanding turnkey solutions to save time and money.
